  ## Improved search, entities, and taxonomies in Akta News API

  The News API now supports open-ended query searches, so you can monitor any theme, narrative, or commodity without first anchoring to a company or industry. Every article is enriched with resolved entities (person, location, product, event) that you can filter on directly, and is classified across four taxonomies simultaneously: Akta's proprietary news and industry taxonomies plus standard NAICS, SIC, IPTC, and IAB codes. This release also adds true event-level deduplication via group\_articles, relevance and sentiment filtering, and a richer article payload (article type, press-release/opinion/breaking flags, fully resolved company mentions, and more). One breaking change: the industry parameter now expects resolved codes instead of free text, so use the new free Industry Search API to resolve them.
